I LOVE AMERICA!!

It's time to go home soon... I only have 3 1/2 days left here, in wichi-wichi-WICHITA. I have to admit it's pretty sad... But also unbelivable. It doesn't seem like 8 months sense last time,

things are still pretty much the same... It's awkward, but kinda nice too... It's funny how things are so familiar, so known. To be honest; it wasn't even strange seeing my host sisters again, even though they were shocked... I have to same problem with weight and space limit in my suitcases, just like I had last time I left... Things are pretty much like they've always been here, only a little lit more fun from time to time...

Here's just some pics from the last couple of days... I haven't has that much time updating my blog or write in my diary or anything; it's so much to do in so little time. Now everybody is at school. I've stared packing, and I know at least one of the suitcases is gonna be over the weght limit. but oh well, it'll work out... hopefully...

Now I'm broke. AND I lost my cellphone. Or it was stolen. Something like that. I was at Heights for freaking 4 hours, and now it's gone. American teenagers... lol.

I know I will miss theese weeks, and I know I will come back. During summer... Not that it's cold... Last week it was "cold", around 20ish. Last night it was 55, and that's how it's been the last couple of days. 40-50ish. YAY!!!

Ok, so I gotta go and get ready for the day. A lot of thing might happen, dunno yet....

Just an other friday...

So, today was just an normal day... Went to Best Buy to check out cameras, cause mine is kinda halfway broken... Then I went to Starbucks and TacoBell and some other places, before me and Kelli decided we were gonna watch Smalville. So, we got 5 seasons of smalville in this house, we watch about 4 a day. lol. Pretty intense.. lol.
There was a game tonight too, the Heights homecoming game! Yeah! Agains West. Girls won 88-24 and boys (!!!!!) also won, but i don't know the score.. Jane, Megan, Beth and I was too buzy talking... lol. Santos- Silva (one of our administrators) told us we were showing bad school spirit by just standing there talking and not cheering. lol. It's only halfway true, cause there really were not that many people there, and they needed help filling up the senior spots in the front row. lol. Pretty excited I was there last year, when the students section was almost full on every game (except from the one Jenny, Marie and Tonje came to...). This year suck man, no one is there... Well, after the game Jane, Beth, Megan, Jessie, Amanda, Megan, me and a bunch of guys went to Freddy's for icecream. Pretty sweet!

Freshmen chillin at the game.. lol. Madison, Kelli and... umm. unknown. lol

Lisa "the cheerleader" and me

Megan, Beth, Jane and me... yeah, Beth is now a brunette...

Valentine, BB game, home and school.

So, yesterday was valentines day. Nothing really big happened, got chocolate and card from my host parents... Other than that, nothing really.
Tuesday I went to Heights Basketball game. Met a lot of people, which was pretty sweeeeeet. The girls still kick a**, and the boys still sucks. Our girls haven't lost one game, and is ranked as # 13 in the COUNTRY! Wow, pretty cool. Tuesday we played North West, and this was the score in the end: (I didn't ever bother to take a pic of the boys final score, but they only lost with like 8 points...)
Today I went to school. It was pretty sweet. Lisa had to be there at 7 am for cheerleading practise, so Kelli and I drove with Josh. NO safe driver... lol. I just walked around from class to class saying hi to almost all my old teachers, and a bunch of old "friends". Fun. Between 4th and 5th hour we had peeprally, cause homecoming is saturday. Pretty cool. This is Jane, Alyssa and me waiting for the show to begin...

Ok, so you all know I was surprising Lisa and Kelli (and about all my friends here). Lisa was speechless when she saw me. She was like "..................................... eh...... Hey." lol. I didn't see Kelli before after the basketball game, cause she was over at MacKenzies house. She was like "OH MY GOOOOOOD! You guys gotta stop doing this to me!!! Oh my god. For a split secound there I didn't react at all. DARN! Gosh. and then I was like 'hey, you don't live her anymore'. Darn! It's all so normal! OH MY GOD!!!". Lol. Pretty sure she didn't know what she was saying. lol. I surprised my grandma at the basketball game to, she had to look like 5 times before she understood it was me. lol. The pic is og Mia. I'll post more pics later, but now I got to go.

Enjoy

I'm here....again...

2 updates in 1 day. wow. Well, it's not 1 day norwegian time, but that's ok. :)

Ok, so just uploading some pics you all can watch... I haven't been doing to much yet, except from going to Wal Mart with Jane and stuff. Now I'm over at the Wendts house, and I have to say I'm surprised... Everything is like it used to be. It's not even awkward beeing here. As for now Lisa is the only one who's been home. But she had to go again- Heights has a baskeball game tonight, and she's cheering. She's sick though, so I dunno how much she'll be cheering... She just had mono, but she's over that... Basicly. Ok, so she was deff surprised by finding me here, so that was kinda fun!

Here, the christmas ornaments are still up. lol. No "trettendagjul" in this home... Well, the tree is down, and it's only christmasy on the front door and in the back yard.

Ok, gotta go, here's the pics.

Christmas...

Filling gas...

Jane and me at Wal Mart. Tomorrow is Valentines Day!

Back to the US and A.
So, I'm back. Yay.
I left my house around 9 pm sunday to take the train to Gardermoen 9:30. Arrived around 10:30, and I was totally (not) looking forward to spending the night at the airport waiting for my flight that was leaving 7 am the next morning. You probably wonder why the heck I took the train the night before then, but the fact is that that was the latest train sunday night, and the earliest train monday morning would had arrived to late for check in.
But don't worry! I prayed. And within the first 10 min on the airport God had everything under control. First Shanie called. That was fun. And while I was talking with her, I was walking around trying to find a nice place to sleep. But dude, what happens? Who do I run into? Well, no one else than Hans and Jordan! Yay. So, the bought be coffee, and I sat down there talking to them. Hans was leaving for Bardoefoess, while Jordan acctually was leaving for the US, and we deff had the same flight to Frankfurt! So after Hans had left, Jordan and I went to the sleeping chairs, trying to get some sleep. It really didn't work, but at least we tried. Around 5 we check in, and then the flight left at 7 ish.
In Frankfurt I had to walk fast to my flight, while Jordan ended up RUNNING. But we both got there in time. I was so luck (... NOT) that I got the middle seat in the middle row. So much for sleeping on that plane.
After 8 and a half hour on the plane I reached Chicago. I only had enough time to run to my gate, so I didn't even have time to hang aound and wait for my luggage. So, I totally used my very good skils (kidding) and asked two ladies to fix it for me, and so they did. I probably have to tell you that the two ladies was behind the "lufthansa" desk... lol. But no worries, the plane was about 2 hours late, and I just hang around in the CROWDED area. All the flights were delayd because of the weather... No worries, I had McDonals and Starbucks... So, around 7:30 ish I arrived in Wichita, Kansas where Jane and Amy picked me up. Then we went over to Jane's house, and I've been sleeping here tonight. When I got to bed I hadn't been sleeping for 47 hours, except from about 30 min on the plane from Frankfurt, and 1 hour on the plane to Wichita. I was tired! So I slept in this morning, and now I'm just chilling, waiting for Jane to come back from school. Then she's going to take me over to the Wendts house (my host family), and then I'm going to surprise them! Well, mom and dad know's I'm coming, but Kelli and Lisa thinks I'll be "home" for easter... Fun fun fun!
So, it's deff Kansas... The wind is hard, but there's actually snow on the grown!! This week is spirit week at Heights, cause saturday is Homecoming. I'm not sure if I'm going to the dance, but I'll deff go to the game. That's the most fun part! Jane broke her leg a while ago, so she's not going either (she looks like Forest Gump when he was a kid when she's walking!). But, the most awesome part, that I didn't know until last night, is that there's no school friday OR monday! Yay! Everybody has a 4 day weekend. That's pretty much kickin freestyle! 10 points for that.
And you may wonder why I haven't said anything about me going to Wichita here on this blog, but the fact is that I'm surprising the Wendts, and it wouldn't be a surprise if they read it here, or heard it from someone else..
It's GREAT being back!!

AFS- midtårsopphold...

This weekend I was a half way leader (also known as a slave...) for AFS. There were 35 FE-students and 5 leaders and 2 "slaves". We were staying at Fagerhøi Leirskole, and had a great time...
We were about 2 hour delaid friday night- the train with all the people from Oslo got stuck at Gardermoen because of an accident earlier that day... Saturday we went cross country skiing. It was a lot of fun! A lot of the kids had never been skiing before, and some of the them had never seen snow before they came to Norway. I had to help them take their skies on (and off), and we used about 2 1/2 hours on the 1.9 km long skitrip. It was freezing, but we had fun having the AFS Olympic games - down hill and slalom. Sunday morning we packed our things and headed back home. A great weekend....

Lunch sunday...

Going up hill was the hardest part....
